I'm Andrea (aka the_do_that_girl),who is old enough to know better and considers herself foremost a whedonverse fan, artist and vidder. I like to paint, sketch, vid and create fan art for all my fandom loves. I currently have two personal websites - 'Buffy and Angel Art' for my Original & Digital Art/Convention photos and 'Art of Vidding' for my vids. You'll also find me on other blog/journals and I have some vids on Youtube/Viddler/Vimeo and other streaming sites.
I also host and run the 'Art of Vidding Awards' contest which opened in 2006.
Whilst I have always created art (on and off) throughout my adult life, I started vidding in August 2004 after having been exposed to my first fanvids at an Angel Convention in 2003. I spent an entire year downloading all the vids I could find and watching them before I attempted the process myself. I find vidding highly enjoyable, rewarding, at times frustrating and incredibly addictive. Muddling my way through with a little help from some experienced vidders I much admire, I began by editing just whedonverse shows but have now moved on to films and other TV fandoms. 83 vids to date with most of those still available online. All the early vids were edited using Windows Movie Maker through to January 2009. After then I have been using ULEAD 11 and have just recently broken the seal on my new Sony Vegas software package ready to start messing around. I like to create vids in a wide range of genres, using all kinds of music and covering many themes and subjects- but most of all make vids to please myself.
