MysticSoul
Hi There! My name is Marie and I operate the sites Mystic Soul Fan Art, And Mystic Soul Video Awards. I have operated my Fan Art site since 2010.
I did my very first video in 2006, and it was a Spuffy video. It took me what seemed like f-o-r-e-v-e-r to make. At the time, I had the relic video program Windows Movie Maker, and to me, I thought this video was the bomb. A year and half later when I actually purchased a program to use, Cyberlink Powerdirector, and AVS Video Editor, and saw the HUGE difference my videos took on , I was embarassed that I actually thought my first video had any substance to it. Since then, I have also purchased Sony Vegas Pro, and I still use Cyberlink and AVS.
I had approx 42 videos under my belt and I, like alot of people, had my account deleted. I never quite recovered from it. I took quite a bit of time off from vidding after that, to write, ( I'm currently finishing a novel that I hope to have done and edited to be published by July), but I missed it too much to stay away forever.
I think I have always been artistic, however. I've always drawn things, painted, written stories, poems. I had my first poem published in high school. However, never having a "formal" web designing degree... I taught myself html and the ins and outs of the web page, and how to design a web site. It was faciniating to me, and the graphics just went along with it.
When I taught myself all that went into photoshop, that's when I decided to create my Art website, ( and eventually my Video Awards site.)
I got into Fan Art, and Fandom vidding when I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, so I decided to make it myself. I wanted to create things that people could enjoy whether they were actually a fan or not. Something visually appealing.
I opened the Video Awards site in Feb 2012, because I thought it was so important for people to realize that the individuality they express and create is something to be rewarded. That is why I love the Fandom world. It's based on Individuality. There are so many Fandoms out there to choose from nowadays.. how to choose just one to love?
Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me, and my brain child Mystic Soul. Stop by and visit sometime ;)
