Interview with adelicateflower08
1. How, why, and what made you decide to start vidding?
I came upon fanvideos by accident. I remember watching an episode of Blood Ties(Television Show) back in 2006 and hearing a song that was playing in the episode that I really loved so I logged onto YouTube to see who sang the song. I came across a fanvideo of the show made to that same exact song. After watching the video I discovered more videos to other shows that I liked. Needless to say, I started having my own ideas and the rest is history.
2. What fandom did you first vid?
Blood Ties.
3. What program did you start out on?
Windows Movie-Maker.
4. What program do you use now?
Sony Vegas, Adobe Premeire.
5. What is your inspiration for vidding?
Anything can inspire me....music, movies, television shows, actors/actresses, nature...
6. What comes first? the music for the idea or the idea for music?
Idea for the music definitely comes first with me.
7. What type music do you like to vid to? Pop, rock, dubstep, etc.
I absolutely love to vid dubstep because it means I get to use internal movement and editing to the beat... although, I pretty much use all genres(except for country).
8. Canon or AU vids?
I'll have to say AU videos because they're so much more interesting to me. Creating your own storylines or shows is just amazing if it's pulled off just right.
9. What is your favorite type of vid to vid? Drama, action, character studies, etc.
Tough one. I'll have to go with Drama...although, character studies follows close behind.
10. What are your favourite Pairings/Characters to vid and why?
My favorite character to vid would have to be Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. He's a natural born leader. He grits his teeth and does what needs to be done however hard it may be. A total badass. He's compromised and he's flawed and he's constantly wrangling between what's the best thing to do as a cop and what's the best thing to do for the group and his family.
My favorite pairing would have to be Crixus and Naevia from Spartacus. Crixus' main reason for being alive is Naevia. He cares for nothing and no one else but her. All of his thoughts are with her. She's the reason he breathes and the actor who portrays Crixus does a fine job of showing that. He will stop at nothing to find her. These two make my heart feel like it's full to bursting. Tara and Jax from Sons of Anarchy are a very close second to these two.
11. Do you use a Beta?
No.
12. Do storyboard or make notes (what's your vidding process)?
As soon as an idea comes to mind I'll open up Vegas and start on it immediately or if I'm out somewhere and and idea comes to me I'll jot it down as soon as I can.
13. Do you, or have you been, involved with collaborations?
I've been involved in several collaborations.
14. What is your favorite vid that you have made?
Probably my Legend of the Seeker [Vengeance Without Mercy] video.
